What is PosCaisse?🔗

Your restaurant's order-taking station🔗

PosCaisse is the PaderfSuite touchscreen register. It turns an Android register into a complete workstation for food service: take an order, customize products, take payment, send orders to the kitchen, print the customer receipt, track the session and close the day.

It is not just a screen that adds up a cart. It is the central point of the counter: the cashier works quickly there, the kitchen receives the right information, the manager keeps a clear record of activity, and every sensitive operation stays under control.

Designed for real service🔗

PosCaisse is designed for restaurants, snack bars, fast-food outlets, cafés and high-paced points of sale. The goal is simple: reduce unnecessary gestures and keep service smooth, even when it is busy.

  • Custom sales screen: categories, products with photos, cart, payments, shortcuts, favorites, receipt search and action buttons.
  • Customizable products: sizes, sauces, removable ingredients, add-ons, browning, order notes.
  • Adapted sales modes: dine-in, takeaway, delivery, table, held or recalled order.
  • Fast payment: cash, card, split payment, discount, promo code, change calculation.
  • Counter-kitchen link: customer receipts, kitchen orders, pending prints if a printer is temporarily unavailable.
  • Register control: session opening, cash movements, supplier payment, X report, Z closure and history.

A register that stays operational locally🔗

PosCaisse runs first and foremost on the register itself. Sales, products, sessions, receipts and reports are stored locally. The register does not depend on the cloud to take payment from a customer at the counter.

This approach answers a concrete need: a restaurant must be able to keep selling even if the Internet is unstable, and some customers want their data to stay physically in their establishment.

Optional backup

You can enable a backup locally, to an external drive/folder, or — as an option — to the PaderfSuite cloud. The protection level follows that of the local database: if the database is encrypted, the archive is too; otherwise the register warns you before the cloud upload. See C14. Backup & restore.

A tool for the cashier and for the manager🔗

For the cashier, PosCaisse must be direct: find the product, choose the options, take payment and move on to the next customer.

For the manager, it also serves to structure the point of sale:

  • create the categories, products, prices and customizations;
  • choose the exact layout of the POS screen;
  • configure printers, drawer, customer display and payment terminal;
  • manage employees, roles, authorizations and manager validations;
  • track receipts, voids, refunds, movements and closures;
  • protect data with backup, encryption and audit log.

A foundation that grows with your business🔗

The primary register already covers daily sales. Then, as needed, PaderfSuite can add modules: stock & recipes, customer kiosk, server PDA, shared screen, multi-register, cloud backup or online ordering.

This guide stays focused on PosCaisse. The other applications in the ecosystem are presented to help understand the whole, but each one has its own guide when the module becomes broader.

Security and traceability🔗

  • Employee accounts with roles and permissions: each person sees only what they are allowed to see.
  • Controlled sensitive actions: discount, void, refund, drawer opening or closure can require manager/admin authorization.
  • Numbered and signed receipts: each transaction receives a chained signature, to prevent any invisible modification or deletion.
  • Audit log: important actions remain viewable.

On what hardware?🔗

PosCaisse runs on Android terminals suited to register use. This guide is illustrated on a Sunmi D3 Pro (Android 13), with receipt printer, kitchen printer and real peripherals. See The hardware.
