The PaderfSuite ecosystem & its modules🔗

PosCaisse does not live alone: it is part of PaderfSuite, a set of applications that cover the entire operation of a food-service business. Depending on your needs, you activate only the useful building blocks.

Important

This guide only documents PosCaisse. The other applications below are presented here so that you understand the whole, but each one has (or will have) its own guide.

The applications of the ecosystem🔗

Application Role Who for
PosCaisse (this guide) The touchscreen register on the counter: sales, payment, receipts, reports. Cashiers, managers
PosBackOffice The management back-office: advanced catalog, recipes & detailed stock, statistics, remote control. Manager, supervisor
Online ordering Reception and processing of orders placed online (ordering site/app), with driver management. Team, drivers

The license modules🔗

In PosCaisse, optional features are unlocked by license modules. Here is the exact list of the system's modules, with their role:

Module What it unlocks
PosCaisse Core (POSCAISSE_CORE) The indispensable foundation: sales, payment, receipts, reports. This is the base, always active.
BackOffice (BACKOFFICE) The stock and recipe management: ingredients, product recipes, preparations, stock movements and alerts. In PosCaisse, these screens are read-only; creation/editing is done in PosBackOffice.
Online ordering (ONLINE_ORDERS) The online orders dashboard: reception, preparation, driver assignment, delivery payment.
Kiosk (KIOSK) The self-service kiosk mode and its settings.
Shared screen (SHARED_SCREEN) The shared tablet where each server signs in (PIN/NFC) to take and view orders from a common station (quick entry).
Multi-register (MULTI_POS) Running several registers in a single store, on a local network, with one primary register and secondary registers.
Multi-device (MULTI_DEVICES) Connecting companion devices (PDA, kiosk, shared screen) to the register.
External server (EXTERNAL_SERVER) The connection to a dedicated external server.
Cloud backup (CLOUD_BACKUP) The backup to the PaderfSuite cloud, with quota and retention period defined by your license. Encryption follows that of the local database.

How to know which modules are active?

The manager can view and manage modules in Admin → Licenses. See C11. Licenses & modules. Throughout this guide, the 🧩 symbol signals that a feature depends on a particular module.

To stay clear and focused, this guide:

  • Fully documents everything related to sales, payment and register administration.
  • Mentions but does not detail the processing of online orders (store dashboard screens, drivers…) → see the Online ordering guide.
  • Presents in read-only mode stock and recipes → full management is in the PosBackOffice guide.
