What is PosBackOffice🔗
PosBackOffice is the web back-office of the PaderfSuite ecosystem. It is an application that opens in a browser (computer, tablet) at your establishment's address, for example https://backoffice.paderfsuite.com. It connects to your PosCaisse register and lets you manage it remotely, without handling the terminal during service.
What it's for🔗
PosCaisse (the register) is built to sell fast at the counter. PosBackOffice, on the other hand, is built to manage in depth:
- Build the menu: categories, products, prices, photos, customizations, promo codes.
- Manage stock & the kitchen: ingredients, recipes, preparations, suppliers, purchases, inventory, waste.
- Analyze the business: revenue, average basket, top products, real margin, food cost.
- Produce fiscal reports: Z closures, X report, NF525-compliant exports.
- Administer: employees, permissions, licenses, backups, peripherals, customer display, kiosk.
Register and back-office, two sides of the same restaurant
Everything you change in PosBackOffice is sent to the register and vice versa: sales rung up on PosCaisse flow back into the back-office statistics and reports in real time.
Where PosBackOffice fits in PaderfSuite🔗
PaderfSuite brings together several applications, each with its own role:
| Application | Role |
|---|---|
| PosCaisse | The register: taking orders and cashing up at the counter. |
| PosBackOffice | The web back-office (this guide): managing and steering the restaurant. |
| Online ordering | Receiving web/app orders and delivery. |
| PosBorne | The self-service kiosk so customers can order on their own. |
| PosPDA | Taking orders at the table on a handheld terminal. |
| PosShared | The waiters' shared screen. |
The back-office plugs into your register
Technically, PosBackOffice does not host your data: it connects to the server of your PosCaisse register (the one that holds the restaurant's database). Your data stays with you, on the register — the back-office is merely a window to view and edit it comfortably from a large screen.
Available in 4 languages🔗
The PosBackOffice interface comes in French, English, Arabic and Spanish. You can switch language at any time from the header (see The interface & the dashboard). This guide is also translated into these four languages.
