E10. Back-Office Preferences🔗
In brief🔗
Preferences gather the personal settings of your session: the interface language and the theme (colors) of the Back-Office. These are display choices for your own comfort; they change neither the till nor the data.
Who / when🔗
For any Back-Office user who wants to display the interface in their language or change the color scheme, at any time.
How to get there🔗
This panel is not in the left menu. Click the avatar (your initial) in the top right of the header: the Preferences panel slides out from the side.
Prerequisites🔗
No specific permission: these preferences are available to any logged-in user.
Screen tour🔗
The Preferences panel slides out as a drawer on the right and offers:
- Interface language: a choice between Français, English, العربية (Arabic), and Español. Arabic switches the display to right-to-left.
- Back-Office theme: a choice among 4 colors, with an instant preview of the result.
- Information: read-only details about the server and the logged-in user.
- At the bottom, the Apply (confirm your choices) and Default (revert to the original settings) buttons.
Step-by-step🔗
Change the interface language🔗
- Open the panel via the avatar in the top right.
- Select the language you want under Interface language.
- Click Apply.
Change the Back-Office colors🔗
- Open the Preferences panel.
- Choose one of the 4 theme colors; the preview updates.
- Click Apply.
Revert to the default settings🔗
Click Default to restore the original language and theme.
Messages & edge cases🔗
- These preferences are personal: they affect only your display, not that of other users or the till.
- The language choice is also available via the 🌐 language icon in the header.
- Not to be confused with the POS theme (the till's appearance) set in System → Settings.
Tips🔗
- Arabic automatically enables right-to-left reading: handy for an Arabic-speaking team.
