POSCaisse runs on an Android terminal compatible with your installation. This guide’s captures come from a SUNMI D3 PRO with a 1920 × 1080 main display. Connectors, readers and secondary displays depend on the installed hardware.
Before service
Connect register power and check that POSCaisse starts.
Check the local network used by printers and companion devices. Ethernet may be used when supported by the equipment.
Check printer paper, cables and power.
Test configured devices in Administration → Peripherals. A listed device is not necessarily connected.
If a customer display is present, check it using an unpaid sample cart.
Equipment
| Equipment | Useful check |
|---|---|
| Receipt printer | Set the receipt role, connection and default printer; print a test page. |
| Kitchen printer | Check kitchen role, destinations and category routing. |
| Cash drawer | Use a compatible connector or printer; check allowed manual opening and automatic opening. |
| Barcode reader | Check input source, supported formats, scan mode and cart-add behavior. |
| NFC / biometrics | Check reader availability before enrolling a badge or fingerprint. |
| Payment terminal | Distinguish confirmed terminal payment from recording it in the register. |
| Customer display | Select the detected screen and check order, idle and after-payment modes. |
Network and offline operation
Local sales can continue without Internet within the register’s authorized scope. Online orders and cloud backups require their remote services. Companion devices and secondary registers must reach their main register over the local network. A payment terminal depends on its own connectivity.
Care and restart
Clean the screen with a product suitable for the equipment, keeping liquid out of ports. Keep ventilation clear and protect cables. Before maintenance or a restart, check ongoing operations and create a backup if data may be affected. Follow POSCaisse’s requested restart when changing the business activity or database protection.
