Create size and colour variants

Before you start

Clothing and footwear profile, RETAIL_CORE and catalogue management permissions. Prepare the references, prices and combinations you actually sell.

Steps to follow

1. Open Administration → Stock & trades → Product catalogue (Catalogue produits), select Add product (Ajouter un produit), then Create a product with variants (Créer un produit à variantes).
2. Enter the product name and first variant details: internal reference, tax-inclusive price, VAT and unit. This first variant will be selected by default.
3. Before entering attributes, use Prefill Size / Colour — Clothing (Préremplir Taille / Couleur — Habillement) if appropriate. It prepares attribute names only; enter the values, such as M and Blue (Bleu).

4. Scroll to Other variants (Autres variantes). Under Additional values (Valeurs supplémentaires), select Size (Taille), then Add value (Ajouter une valeur) and enter L. Prepare any other required values in the same way.
5. Select Add variant (Ajouter une variante). Enter its unique reference and price, then choose each attribute, such as L and Blue. Review every combination before continuing.

6. Confirm Create product and its 2 variants (Créer le produit et ses 2 variantes) and wait for confirmation. Find the references in the catalogue, then add barcodes and opening stock separately as needed.

What to remember

The form accepts up to 20 variants in total, with a shared tax rate and unit. To change the initial attributes after preparing variants, use Clear variant preparation (Effacer la préparation des variantes). A size or colour does not represent a carton containing multiple units.
