Enter opening retail stock

Record the total physical quantity already present in your shop.

Detailed manuals and practical procedures for all eight activities. Available functions depend on your installation’s profile, modules and permissions.

Before you start

A stock-tracked retail product, required permissions and a physical count. For batch or expiry-tracked items, use a receipt with the relevant batch information.

Steps to follow

  1. In My shop (Mon commerce), open My opening stock (Mon stock de départ) and check the selected sales stock location. Changing location does not transfer quantities.
  2. Under Quantities by location (Quantités par emplacement), find the item and choose Correct (Corriger). Check its reference and stock location.
  3. Enter the total physical quantity counted, not a quantity to add. For incoming stock, enter the requested total incoming cost, not the unit cost or selling price. A zero cost must be entered explicitly.

  4. Add a clear reason, review the values and select Save stock (Enregistrer le stock). Wait for confirmation and check the displayed quantity.
  5. For later operations, distinguish opening stock, deliveries and supplier orders: preparing an order adds no stock; a delivery adds the accepted quantities.

What to remember

Demonstration stock changed from unset to 10 pieces, at a total cost of MAD 100. Avoid repeating a confirmed correction: check the current quantity first. Reservations and other controls may limit the quantity available for sale.
