A product code identifies an item or packaging. A scale label may also contain a weight or price.
An extraction rule must match the actual printed format. Check prefix, reference and value against several examples before activation.
Ambiguous codes need checking, not guessing. These settings do not qualify a physical scale.
Example
A product EAN identifies its linked item. A scale label also carries a value, such as 0.750 kg. Two labels for the same item can therefore have different codes; a validated extraction rule must recognise them.
Check before confirming
Test several actual printed labels, including two different weights of the same item. Check reference, unit and value on the register. Saving from BO does not replace this local test. Ask the installer to check uncertain rules.
Access and scope
Retail sections require a compatible selected register and the necessary modules and permissions. Check the store and register first. Local access does not always expose these sections; use the connection mode intended for your installation. Missing access does not mean the food-service catalog should be used instead.
