PADERFSUITE GUIDES

Clothing and footwear catalog

Prepare the selected business catalog before the first sale. Available functions depend on your register’s business activity, modules and permissions.

Detailed manuals and practical procedures for all eight activities. Available functions depend on your installation’s profile, modules and permissions.

Prepare the selected business catalog before the first sale. Available functions depend on your register’s business activity, modules and permissions.

1. Organize

Where: Departments and aisles.

Do: create Clothing, then a T-shirts aisle. Use Brands to reuse a brand across records.

Why: aisles classify products. Size and colour are variant attributes, not aisles.

Check: there is one T-shirts aisle, not a separate aisle for each size.

2. Create the product

Where: Products → Add product → product with variants.

Fill in: T-shirt, tax-inclusive price, VAT, Piece unit and stock tracking. Define Colour and Size axes: black/white and S/M/L.

Why: the six combinations are six distinct saleable items. Prepare them in the variant grid with references and prices.

Check before saving: six combinations, no missing size or duplicate reference.

Where: each variant’s actions → Codes and packaging.

Do: link the label code to the exact variant, for example black M T-shirt with reference TS-BLACK-M. Repeat for other variants, not every physical item.

Why: scanning must find the correct size and colour.

Check: scan two sizes; they must show different variants. Their stock is tracked separately.

4. Stock and verification

Where: stock functions, depending on available modules and permissions.

Do: record quantities using the appropriate receipt or inventory workflow. Creating a record or linking a barcode adds no quantity. Check each size/colour separately for variants.

Without a sale: find the product and look up its barcode; verify variant, price, VAT and unit.

Before live use: test a sale on the test register. Do not record a fictitious payment on a production register just to check the catalogue.

Reusable brands for product records

A brand is created once and reused across products. It is not a supplier or aisle.

In Brands, use Add brand at the top. Enter its name, a distinct internal code and, if needed, display order and translations.

Assign the existing brand from product actions instead of recreating it.

The pencil edits it. Archive requires confirmation and usage checks. The Archived filter provides restoration; past sales are not erased.

Key terms

Reference / SKU: internal identifier of an item or variant.

Barcode: a scanned label code linked to the exact item. Multiple codes may identify one item when supported.

Product: shared record. Variant: saleable combination with its reference, price and stock.

Piece: one whole unit. Kilogram: a weighed quantity; the price must match that unit.

Product record: commercial description. Stock: quantities from separate movements; changing them is not a simple product name edit.
